Wen you swapped radiators did it take a lot longer to get it up to temp? Or did you swap your termostat

Hey Alex! Just came across this vid as I just got a hardtop that needs paint. You did a great job on yours and the info was helpful. I definitely don't have a good setup to do paint myself at home, and would have to use rattle cans (looking at 66 Auto Color 2k single stage cans). Also have a small chip on the lower edge. So... lots to consider! Might be leaning towards paying the pros, but damn it's expensive out here in Cali.

you or anyone here ever driven a auto miata? thats the only thing around me.. probably one of my fav car but not sure about automatics... are they still fun?

I really want an NC club. But those are double the price usually of the NB. The NA has gone up in price too. So I’ve been shopping a NB. Which would you find more collectible-a 1999 with leather interior. Or a Shinsen? Both have same miles on odometer and are roughly in the same condition-the 99 probably better condition overall but is $2000 more asking price. What color leather seat options were available in 99? Not sure if it is original.

What i really need is rain deflectors for the hardtop, even with new seals all around water still gets in if you power hose the car

The only thing about the long studs is that you have to use open end lugs? Am i right about that, maybe I'm missing something? I've got autoexe lugs that are stock specs, don't want to change them.

I did the exact opposite. I bought my 1995 R Model Miata in 1998. This car was driven by Diane Moores to the SCCA C Stock national championship in 1995. It still had the longer studs and spacers when I bought it. The original owner traded it in on a newer one. With the spacers the wheel is only centered by the lug nuts not by the hole in the center of the wheel not good for a street car. I worked in a machine shop so I used a press instead of a hammer. I still have the car and it has just been a street car all these years for me.

Good vid, I guess you did now really need to lengthen the studs just for a 5mm spacer.

i got a 91 miata with a swapped 95 motor. I bought it for 650. dude was getting rid of it. I'm in florida and rust was insane. although it's hard to maintain in the Florida weather I'd say its atill worth it for 650

Very useful video thanks! I was able to replace my alternator within an hour. I don’t have experience with repairs, but it was an easy job. I got to do timing belt,aluminum radiator,waterpump next. Probably going to the shop for that.
